photo Jenny Truch

Jenny comes to us from Maynard. She is married, and has 3 active teenagers in her home. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada and has worked as a nurse in both Canada and the US. Music has always been her first love however, and she has been making music her entire life. She completed the Music Together training in 2018 and is thrilled to join Pat and Vic in facilitating classes and weaving together the physical, cognitive AND community benefits of group music making!. What a great second career! Music Together's approach is a natural fit for her!

Jenny’s lifelong music making is a testament for the benefits of music exposure in young children. As a baby, her parents recalled how she would hum herself to sleep. Her earliest memories include learning songs from her preschool teachers. She spent her school years taking piano lessons, dance classes, voice lessons and as she got older, she played flute in band, participated in choral groups, and musical theatre productions. As a parent, Jenny enjoyed her time in music together with her children. Jenny is a firm believer that we never stop learning new things and has taken up learning guitar and ukulele, as well as “that recorder” her children received at school. She adores children and has also provided music for local daycares and as a teacher in a preschool setting.
